Stop or quit/which one
Message from papapop posted on 22-07-2015 at 13:17:48 (D | E | F)
Hi everyone,
I have a simple question about stop or quit smoking.
On the web we can find both, so is it correct to say "I'm trying to stop smoking" or should it be "to quit smoking" ?
Regards.

hello !
Both are excellent ... 'give up / stop smoking' is rather and 'quit smoking' or 'give up cigarettes' rather
Use whichever you like ... but do give up the habit !

Hello!
"Quit" is also more colloquial.
Kick the habit!
See you!
