Bonsoir,
j'ai besoin d'une correction pour mon texte s'il vous plaît
Merci pour votre aide.

This text untitled A patriotic American is an extract from "the pursuit of Happiness" by Douglas Kennedy and publishd in 2002.
It's a dialogue between the main character Eric Smythe who works for a Tv network and an FBI agent who accuses him of being a xommunist . This text relies to the myths of Mc Carthyism. This myths concerned the witch hunt in the 50's.Also, it concerned John McCarthy who is the founder of the mouvement.
The FBI agent asked at the beginning if he is or have been a communist. He doesn't admit immediately but thereafter we can see he admits but he didn't realize that his life is about to turned upside down because if he doesn't denounce other members of the party he'll have problem
As a conclusion, this text respects the notions of power because the myth of Mc Carthyism is a form of torture which feared communists.

myth
noun
1.
a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, especially one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature.
2.
stories or matter of this kind: realm of myth.
3.
any invented story, idea, or concept: His account of the event is pure myth.
4.
an imaginary or fictitious thing or person.
5.
an unproved or false collective belief that is used to justify a social institution.
