Motivation for medicine/correction

Bonjour, je souhaite que vous me corrigiez cet extrait d'une lettre de motivation que j'ai écrite.
The choice I made in paragraph 5 is due to my motivation for medicine. I am interested in this field since my youth and I would like to acquire skills by solid studies at your university. On the other hand, medicine is a field at once exciting, mysterious and unlimited. In addition, being a doctor is a humanitarian employement, where we provide assistance to society. This is consistent with my personality: I am sociable and I want to be useful and beneficial to society.
Moreover, the openings (les débouchés) in this field are much sought-after.
